Town Hall 16 Progression Strategies
Town Hall 16 represents a transition point where raw building levels take a backseat to Hero Equipment and Merged Defenses. Upgrading to TH16 requires a fundamental shift in how you spend resources.
1. The Merged Defense Economy
At TH16, you gain access to the Multi-Archer Tower and Ricochet Cannon.
- Merging two point defenses costs a massive gold investment and takes a builder out of rotation for 14 days.
- However, the defensive DPS multiplier is massive. One Ricochet Cannon deals double the impact damage of two single Cannons, while occupying only a single defense slot. This frees up core base compartments.
2. Pet House Levels 7 & 8
TH16 unlocks advanced pets like the Spirit Fox and Angry Jelly.
- Spirit Fox turns your Hero invisible at set intervals, making it a mandatory selection for the Royal Champion.
- Prioritize upgrading the Pet House to Level 8 immediately after completing your main barracks upgrades.
3. Storage Upgrades
Before starting expensive defense levels, upgrade your Gold and Elixir storages. This prevents resource capping when using Runes or claiming high-value season pass rewards.
